is a program manager and research associate in the International Security Program at CSIS. In this position, she provides research and program support to the Defending Democratic Institutions project. Her research looks at cyber and cyber-enabled disinformation operations aimed at undermining the justice system and the rule of law.
This past summer, federal forces were deployed to D.C. in response to protests addressing racial injustice. This vignette explains some of the unique features of the D.C. deployments, and highlights key considerations about the laws and norms that guide domestic federal force deployments.
